One of my favorite songs....for over 40 years now.
Also........a favorite October quote:
“There is something in October sets the gypsy blood astir: We must rise and follow her. When from every hill of flame She calls, and calls each vagabond by name.”
― William Bliss
Beautiful song and quote, Jackie. I usually love October ---but this year, here in Tennessee, we have had an extremely HOT and DRY Fall/October... Our drought is the worst I have seen in many years around here... Now--we are worried about wildfires around us.... GOSH---I was ready for October to LEAVE us... Maybe November will be better for us this year.

Hi Betsy, I have family in TN - as you already know - and they say the same thing. Hope you have a wonderful November!
ReplyDeleteIt is warm here in Indiana, but we have had rain all summer and fall. The grass is green! It looks more like a green September at the beginning of November.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, I don't think that ever happened when we lived in Indiana. But, my memory may not be accurate. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThis song brings back memories of my time in jr. college here in Cleveland GA. It was very popular. Wishing you a very nice November!
ReplyDeleteHi Mildred, We moved here (near Augusta) in 2012. I have an old blog post when we visited your beautiful area of the state. Too bad I didn't know about you then - I could have met a fellow blogger! Take care, Jackie
