The English Chimney Pot

When we lived near Zionsville, Indiana I saw chimney pots from England for sale in an antique store.  Visiting England had long been a dream of mine.  I bought one of the chimney pots to use in my garden, later finding a bird bath top.  It has survived many moves and now lives with me here in Georgia.  Last year we finally took that trip to England and I saw some very similar pots sitting proudly on homes and buildings.  I was so excited to see them there.

    1. Hi Debbi, If you look at April and May 2016 you will see a LOT of pictures from our trip. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip and I cherish the memories. I hope you are having a good week and that Charleston is warmer than Appling - it is cold here!

  2. Hi Jackie,

It is a wonderful feeling, isn't it, to find a beloved product or decorative piece in a favourite locale? It must have been a thrill for you to have visited England!

    1. It really was, Poppy. I can't believe it has been almost a year ago. It seems more like a dream now.

    2. Hi Jackie, Hope you are warmer than we are up here in TN... We are in the midst of a 2 day/night freeze PLUS snow... Doesn't feel like spring here yet at all.. BUT I will say that we had almost NO winter UNTIL now.... I'm definitely ready for some warmer weather....

Love your big pot and bird bath top.... I have two birdbaths (one out in the yard and a heated one for the birds during winter).

      Hugs,
      Betsy

    3. Hi Betsy, it will barely hit 40 degrees here today but no snow. Stay inside, all toasty warm and cozy. I am sure the birds appreciate your kindness of the heated bath!

  4. Hello Jackie and thank you for your visit and comments on my blog. My husband and I took a trip to England in 2009 and really enjoyed seeing that beautiful land which I have read about in all those novels all my life. Will you be posting more photos from your trip last year? Anyway, it's good to "meet" you and I hope to visit again.
