There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.
Beautiful pictures, Jackie... Sometimes I wish I had a Fountain of YOUTH here... The older I get, the more aches and pains I seem to get...I'd love to feel my 'youth' again --but truly wouldn't want to go back to my 20's-30's and do it all again... NO THANKS....
Thank you Betsy. I am 59 and I have started thinking about some of the comments my mother made about aging when I feel an ache or a pain. One of my friends, who is 82, told me that I am SO young. I told her "well, this is the oldest I have ever been" which she thought was hysterical. I agree with you - I would love to feel 20 again but not BE 20 again! Youth is wasted on the young......sort of :-)
I know what you mean, Mildred. We are replacing our deck flooring and cleaning up outdoors for spring and I am amazed that my body does not work the way it has in the past. I turn 59 this month and my husband was 61 last month. Where did the time go?
What pretty pictures! Love the quote by Sophia Loren. Did you ever see her in the Grumpy Old men movies? She is beautiful and funny!
ReplyDeleteHi Kay, I saw the first one but I don't think I ever watched the second one. I need to add that one to my movie list.

DeleteVery nice photos. I am 59 also. Will turn 60 in Aug. Each time I work in the yard, I feel my age! lol
